Ylenia Olibet is a Fourth Year PhD Student in Film and Moving Images studies at Concordia University, Montreal. Her interests of research focus on feminist film theory, transnational approaches to film studies, and digital media. Her dissertation project investigates contemporary feminist film culture in Québec from a transnational perspective, focusing on the networks, the technological infrastructures, and the institutions that enable the development of embodied and situated forms of feminist audiovisual culture. Her research is funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Société et Culture. She is the co-editor in chief of Synoptique - An online journal of Film and Moving Images Studies. Within the Gem Lab, she was in the organizing committee for The Labour of Media (Studies) Conference and she co-organized the research group on Alternative Knowledge.
Ylenia is currently co-organizing the Works-in-Progress series with Patrick Brodie and Lola Rémy.
